Above: 92 members after just three days seems like a promising start!
I decided it was time to promote this website to a wider audience by launching a Facebook Group. Otherwise it does start to feel like I’m talking to myself. And that’s never a good thing.
I have to admit that I’m fairly rubbish at social media. But a friend helped launch one for my website on the Goyt Valley about five years ago and it’s now up to over 3,000 members (click to view). It’s been really useful for exchanging news and information, as well as keeping people who enjoy the valley up to date with what’s going on.
I started the Monsal Trail FB Group just a few days ago, and without a great deal of effort, it’s up to 92 members. Which seems a good rate to me.
Sharing walks and news
I’d love for more people to get on board so we can increase awareness about issues such as the proposed reintroduction of the railway. And also share walks and photos celebrating this wonderful White Peak route.
